Jollyes: driving omnichannel performance


One of the largest specialised retailers in the UK

Since opening their first store in 1971, Jollyes have grown into one of the largest chains of pet food superstores in the UK with over 70 stores countrywide. Their passion is to help pet owners by offering them specific advice on what pet food, pet toys and pet accessories are suitable for their pet.

After a number of decades operating in store only, Jollyes first appointed Two Jay to design and build their first website on Magento 1 to develop their presence online. The project required an automated order management system, a real-time store checker and an advanced click and collect system to identify store stock and inform customers on availability and collection.

Driving omnichannel performance with Magento 2 Commerce Cloud

Now, several years since its inception, Jollyes have continued to grow online and required a reliable and scalable solution which aids omnichannel performance and future growth plans.

Jollyes chose Two Jay to cover all aspects of the migration to Magento 2.0 Enterprise and Magento Commerce Cloud. Including design and development ahead of March 2018 launch, and support thereafter.

The project

The key objectives of the project were to re-evaluate the ‘Click & Collect’ process, improve site speed and improve user experience - specifically on mobile. To assist Jollyes with their objectives, we implemented the following:

Mobile-first design - A key part of the project was the implementation of a new mobile-first design to bring Jollyes up to speed with a shift in consumer shopping habits and improve the overall experience for users on mobile.

Klevu integration - The integration of Klevu, a site search solution allowed Jollyes to improve their user experience. Using AI to help customers navigate the site and find their desired product easily.

Click & Collect - With over 70 stores across the UK, Jollyes require an advanced and click and collect system which was built bespoke for their Magento 1 website. This needed to be re-evaluated and migrated across.


The results

Having chosen Magento 2 Commerce Cloud, Jollyes now have a reliable and scalable site which is mobile-optimised and drives omnichannel performance and growth in store.
